We are pleased to announce we are still taking orders for 2026 Nucleous colonies. We have a limited amount of Nucs available before we move over to the waiting list. No deposits are required. Nucs will be available for pick up in Germantown towards the end of April to the first part of May depending on weather, queen mating flights and brood production. Our NUCs are five frames and well mated queen with strong healthy brood patterns.

A bee Nuc (nucleus colony) is a small, established, and fully functional honeybee colony, typically housed in a 4 to 5-frame cardboard or plastic box. It contains a laying queen, worker bees, drones, and frames with brood (eggs, larvae, pupae) and food stores. Nucs are considered ideal for beginner beekeepers because they grow faster than package bees and are less likely to experience queen rejection.
